Richard Cory Response

⧭  Richard Cory
In the poem written by Richard Cory I believe that the theme is a persons appearance doesn't always define who they are. The author is speaking in the tone of sincere ness and jealousy. The author is clearly stating that he is jealous because of his good looks and the riches that he owns. He also says that he is  a happy man, but do they truly know that. Later on that  night he grabbed a gun and shot his head. But you see here that not only looks can define how a person is feeling in the inside but in the outside they can show a great outgoing person.
