The Gift of the Magi by O. Henry

Something that interested me was that the title sounded familiar so I decided to pick this story. The plot of the story is that the two main characters don't exactly know how to show there love for each other so the girl cuts her hair to buy the guy something. And the guy sells his watch to buy the girl something. The theme is that a gift doesn't matter to make your love ones happy its the intentions. The story made me think a little bit more that gifts shouldn't matter to make people happy. I would definitely recommend this story to others because gifts don't matter its the appreciation you have for someone.
